Emissary is the latest artisan shaving cream created exclusively for The Personal Barber.
Handmade in East England by our skilled artisan soapmaker, this vegan-friendly shaving cream is designed to produce a dense, cushioning lather that softens facial hair and gives the razor a smooth, controlled path across the skin.
The glycerine-rich formula helps the skin retain moisture throughout the shave, while the creamy lather provides the slickness and protection needed to reduce drag and discomfort. Its dense cushioning layer keeps the razor moving smoothly across the skin, helping you achieve a close, controlled shave while minimising the dryness and tightness that can follow.
The fragrance opens with the distinctive warmth of saffron and rose before developing into a deeper, more mysterious blend of oud, amber and soft spice. Rich and atmospheric without feeling heavy, it gives Emissary a confident, luxurious character that transforms the lather into something especially indulgent.

How to use Emissary Shaving Cream
Scoop an almond-sized amount of shaving cream with a dry finger. Using a damp shaving brush, begin working the cream into a lather in a bowl, in your hand or directly on your face. Add water a few drops at a time until it develops into a dense, glossy lather.
Avoid allowing water to enter the tub so that the cream remains at its best between shaves.

Bart’s Balm is an independent Scottish grooming brand built around a simple idea: post-shave care should be as thoughtfully made and enjoyable to use as the products used during the shave. Its balms are handmade in Scotland in small batches, using naturally derived oils and carefully developed fragrances to combine practical skincare with a more premium finishing experience.
That attention to detail extends to the presentation. Ben Nevis arrives in a weighty frosted-glass bottle and presentation tube, giving it the feel of a proper grooming product rather than a purely functional moisturiser. The formula is alcohol-free, paraben-free and designed to suit sensitive skin, making it particularly well suited to the moments immediately after shaving.
At the heart of the balm is argan oil, a lightweight but deeply nourishing oil naturally rich in fatty acids and vitamin E. These help support the skin’s moisture barrier and soften areas that can feel dry or tight after shaving. Reserve Solid Cologne provides the final layer of the routine: a warm, sophisticated fragrance in a compact format that can be carried and reapplied throughout the day.
The fragrance opens with clean bergamot and aromatic lavender, introducing a fresh, polished quality before the warmer notes begin to emerge. Amber and tonka bring smoothness and depth at the heart, while Madagascan vanilla adds a restrained creaminess rather than overt sweetness. Dry woods and vetiver ground the fragrance with an elegant, masculine finish.
The result is rich and quietly luxurious: warm without becoming heavy, sweet without feeling gourmand, and versatile enough for everyday wear. It is this balance that gives Reserve its name—a fragrance that feels considered, mature and a little more special.
Unlike a traditional spray, solid cologne sits close to the skin and releases its fragrance gradually. This makes it ideal when you want a subtle, personal scent that does not fill the room, whether you are heading to work, travelling or refreshing your fragrance later in the day.
The alcohol-free base combines berry wax, jojoba oil and shea butter. It melts easily beneath the fingertip and conditions the skin as it applies, avoiding the dryness sometimes associated with alcohol-based fragrance.
How to apply Reserve Solid Cologne
Warm a small amount with your fingertip and apply it to pulse points such as the wrists and neck. Reapply during the day whenever you would like to refresh the fragrance.

Gillette Nacet blades
Gillette Nacet blades have earned a strong following among traditional wet shavers for their combination of sharpness and efficiency. They cut through coarse growth cleanly and can deliver a very close result with fewer repeat passes. Their sharper character makes light pressure and careful preparation particularly important.
Shark Super Chrome blades
